Gretta Louw (DE)

Louw was born in South Africa but grew up in Australia; she received an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Western Australia in 2002, subsequently living in Japan and New Zealand before settling in Berlin in 2007. She has exhibited at a number of the German capital’s premier alternative art spaces and received two recent grants from German institutions for participatory and performance art pieces. In 2011, Louw was an artist in residence at the Glasshouse in Tel Aviv and Flux Factory in New York City, and had a solo exhibition Controlling_Connectivity at Art Laboratory Berlin. Louw continued her travels in 2012 with a residency in the remote Aboriginal community of Lajamanu in central Australia. She is now based between Baden-Wuerttemberg and Berlin, Germany.
